I've always admired Hitchens for his articulateness (that's a word..I checked) and his lucid and rational thinking. This is straight talk like few figures in America are ever able to produce.

Christopher Hitchens has at times annoyed me, but I totally agree with him on this.

Welcome, Vagabondblogger. I think a lot of people have that mixed reaction to Hitchens. Welcome to my blog!

Hitchens can be highly amusing and articulate when he is sober. He rather lost me as an admirer when he did his sudden pro-Bush period, but I am quite enjoying his rants lately while flogging his book. He was certainly spot on about Falwell and the various "Elmer Gantrys" that populate TV evangelism... praise de lawd and mail me a check...

(But then most of you are probably too young to relate to the Elmer Gantry reference...)
