You have no idea how happy I am to hear from you. I was in Singapore and spent 10 days with M. She did tell me that she was in touch with you but never told me that you got married. Congratulations !
I tried to get in touch with J but from his replies it seemed that he didn't want to stay in touch so I never bothered to push it. Hope you read my past posts on the blogs I have taken out all my frustration on K.
About the divide between teachers and the Admin, well I knew the divide was there and it was not real..it was created by K ( Old Brit trick of Divide-n-rule). You and the others were really close to me and I liked it the way it was.
Things have changed a lot since then. If you could do me a favor and leave me your email address on my blog ( which I will delete as soon as i have it)..??
I met D at Lamcy while I was shopping before leaving for Singapore and he told me that "Avaj" was a manager in Al Ain branch...good for him..die you fat asshole.
About AT, well no matter what he was or what he did..all I know is that before he left he told me " Gautam, you don't need to rot in this place, you are capable of a lot more and will get paid more if you worked somewhere else...". I was scared to quit that job since it was my first job and wanted a recommendation letter. But after I had a chat with him he gave me the motivation to move on. The other motivation of course was that you, M, J and T were leaving so that place would be a hell hole then.
Hope we stay in touch.

I'm in touch w/ D (who wasn't K's side man). He's getting married soon. When I hear from you, I'll send you some of his engagement photos. They are a lovely couple. He's back in Dubai, now, and much happier. For a while he would send emails that said Afghanistan was better than working w/ our glorious former employer. When a guy says war-torn, teetering on the brink of civil-war Afghanistan is better than our last job together, one must take notice!
I also hear from the second-hand man of K now and again, "D".
Don't take J's emails personally. He's not great at corresponding, I think. That, or he's blowing us both off!! He and T are both still in Thailand, I believe. Well, at least she is. I emailed S, T, J, and M when I read your post about AT. Sadly, I don't think I've heard too much from M since we left. We IMed a bit, but that was quite early on after we all left. S is on MSN now-we'll chat more when I hear from you!!!

Well, I think it's on BBC America, but we got the DVDs from the online rental service "netflix". It's foreign selection isn't bad, but we can't get any movies from Egypt. Just the 'deeper' films from specific Middle Eastern film makers.
