Sigh. Does anyone think it will make a lick of difference if he really is?
Wouldn't that just be excellent timing with the mid-term elections upon us?

what a crock, ya know?! i once heard someone say that bush would prob come out and say he's dead just to bump his ratings up.
i don't really think they'll ever catch this guy!
Well, I think many people cling to this idea that used to exist when war was a bit more clean-cut. Eliminate Hitler, and the regime will fall. But you're right, AUH, OBL, though perhaps once the only recognised leader of Al Qaeda, is not the backbone of a regime. Terrorism has been allowed to grow and develop. You can eliminate one or two figureheads, but that seems to only inflame and spread the terrorist ideology. What happens if the US manages to eliminate 5 significant leaders of Al Qaeda? What about 10? 30? 100? Does that mean that all those who align themselves with Al Qaeda's ideology will fall back 'into line', so to speak?
How would a nation(s) go about preventing men and women from joining a terrorist organisation? I think this battle of ideologies is what needs to be fought. Al Qaeda recruits because it can find willing participants. That would seem to be the root of the problem.
Hey CairoGal, I'm working on your answer, because its very intriguing but in the meanwhile, I have an article that you should think about, that was very interesting to me as well.
