Camera for Christmas

My first digital camera. My old and faithful SLR (Canon Rebel X) stopped performing well a couple years ago. I think it needs to be cleaned, but when the door on the back broke, I decided it was time to move on with my life. I wanted to get a Digital/SLR combo, but I think I'll wait a bit for the prices to come down.
Here's an image of my husband altered to appear cartoon-like. His eyebrows don't really look that bushy to me.
