he's a creep. he practically fell all over himself when someone thought he might be muslim. and look at his stand on Palestine??? apparently the rhetoric only apllies if you are not muslim or arab. hmmm
I guess I have a lot of issues that are important to me in our future president. First and foremost, I want to see an end to the Iraq war. I want an exit plan that involves repairing that damage we've done. I want a president that's going to promote better relations between the US and the rest of the world-including the Palestinian and Israeli issue. I want someone who cares about the people in this country who have too little-not those who have too much. All of that said, I am not voting strictly based on Palestine. We have so many other big issues right now...so many problems that need our attention first. I hate to say that. It's not ideal. I would like a humanist to turn around all the damage, and I freely admit that fairness when dealing with Israel and Palestine would help improve the US's image abroad (which is one of Obama's goals).
I do need to do a bit more research. When I googled "Obama's position on palestine" I was hit by a series of links that led to smart-ass remarks about how Obama never says anything concrete on issues, though no news articles. I would like to see the interview you mentioned, E, if you have a link to it.
