Donkeys in Egypt

This poor thing...reminds me of the dog in the Grinch Who Stole Christmas. By his lack of struggle, I suspect this isn't the first time it's happened.

The donkeys of Egypt are nothing if not laid-back... rather like he's thinking... OK.. bit of a rest, ma'alish... no broblem...

Are you familiar with the Brooks Animal Hospitals? They were set up after WW1 by a British woman to care for all the horses left behind. They still provide free or cheap care for the donkeys and will buy the dying from their owners and give them a few days of blissful rest before they go...

They also work with the horses at Petra...

I have heard of Brooks Animals Hospitals...if you didn't tell me about it, I think I read it on Maryanne Gabbani's blog "Living in Egypt".
