I watched the whole show. Geez--the sickest thing about these people is they dont seem to put into practice any other part of Chrisianity except the hate homosexuals stuff. And by theor own admission are not interested in "winning souls for Christ". Sooo my feeling is--Gramps is a closet gay--who speaks out against "fags" like so many other folks who claim to hate what they really are in secret--like that senator who fought against pedophilia or homosexuality and turns out he had an affair with a page--I cant remember the exact details but you get my point. And just like Ted Haggard and Jimmy Swaggert--those types--do as I say, not as I do. Yep, I am sure Gramps is a "fag". And a pig. And I am sorry the children of these people cant be removed from the homes--I wonder if anyone has gotten child welfare after them??? Maybe someone needs to make a call. It's also hard to follow this family cuz apparently the media has a kind of boycott against them--they dont want to give them any more press. What a bunch of redneck hillbilly swine!
I agree with you, Eva. I sorta suspect maybe gramps was molested at a young age (or violently raped). This was infinitely much harder to watch than "Jesus Camp."
Ahhhhh. The awesomeness. They have figured out how to walk the finest of lines-- they do not techincally advocate violence nor commit any violent acts, and so they are protected under free speech. They are clearly not even rational, and they obviously do not really know the bible-- did you catch where the you girl said sodomy was in the Mosaic code? It is not! There is a prohibition against it, yes. But it is NOT in the Mosaic code. They just made so many inaccurate statements. I really wonder how this jives with "love thy neighbor as thyself." I am assuming, being that they are telling people about their fate, they feel they are doing a loving servive as they said at the end... so. But the thing is, never has there been a time where "you're going to hell!" was preached and spoken in the Bible when it was also NOT accompanied by a "unless you repent." they are not interested in the latter, so what are they doing??
Also? how do they reconcile their language with the idea of no profanities coming out of your mouth?
And by juding themselves to be the only righteous ones, aren't they setting themselves up to be God?
And!! Did you notice that more than one mentioned not sure about going to heaven? if they were really "saved" wouldn't they know that for sure?
Too many inconsistencies in their rhetoric.
Did you get a chance to watch the whole set of clips on youtube, Julianna? They actually believe, according to 'gramps', their leader, that they will be the only ones going to heaven. The only ones. When the journalist asked him if it was a fair statement given that he did't know the values of every single church, he gave some jerky response (in fact, that's what he did the entire time. As though insults kept doubters at bay).
Yep! That's how I knew they said that. He was an ass the entire time, behaving like a spoiled child.
It is horrible!!!! I would definitely call that child abuse.
They don't seem very smart. The only answer 'gramps' gave was "asked and answered". Maybe he didn't know the answer, or couldn't think of one, and didn't want to look stupid.
Their insults amused me, at times.
