That about sums it up. The snow shots are from the Mall of the Emirates indoor ski/snowboarding/sledding hill. They will rent participants the necessary outerwear to endure the winter conditions. I took this through the glass inside the shopping mall. Other shots include what Dubai does best: gold!

I've heard about indoor ski hills, but have never actually seen one. I've wondered how they set them up.
I was fortunate enough to be living about 2 blocks from this massive structure as it was being built. You can't even find my lonely apt. building anymore. You used to be able to say to a taxi driver, "Grey building, Barsha" and he knew. Now that area is so built up...anyway, the ski hill was the first thing built, a structure of metal and concrete. And the rest, well, anything is possible in Dubai. Money makes progress and luxury happen overnight.
The ski place is amazing. But the jewels!!!...........I love rings!!
I like my bobbles, too, Tamara! When I lived in Egypt, I bought loads of great silver pieces. When I moved to Dubai, I developed a new special affection for semi-precious stones and gold. Will have to post the picture of the ring I got for myself this trip!
