I don't know, Mona...this gives Cairo a run for its money! You know, the cars in Cairo are slow and dangerous. In Dubai, people are fast and dangerous!
Ahh, traffic is horrible where ever you go period. I think for some odd reason though, traffic seems worse in the middle east because no one, and I mean NO ONE, follows the rules. Despite the obvious fact that there are rules......LOL! I think it is kinda funny.
At least that is what I saw in Saudi when I lived there. Every time I got in a car with a taxi or a family member, I really thought that's it, I am going to die. Once, my aunt's son drove us and he was only 12 years old, yea you read right ONLY 12, one two.......LOL!! It was truly a nightmare. Then, I really did say my shahada cuz I though that was it!!! Do they have an age limit in Dubai?
Rules, shmules, Manal! I am reminded of that everytime someone drives down the curb lane on the highway while the rest of the cars sit in traffic. I think the driving age might be up to 21, but I'm not sure. Traffic-related deaths are the number one cause of death for young Emirati men. When I taught university there, every kid knew someone who died in a car accident. When does the general public (or even a significant portion of the general public)become enraged enough to speak up and place pressure?

What's the best way to get from Sheikh Zayid Road to downtown Abu Dhabi during the afternoon drive time rush hour?
Unless you're masquerading as a website about traffic in the Emirates..
Is this a trick question? There IS no good way! Stayed tuned for more news on the hour...
Woo! At least there's no snow?

Yea, you're right about that. I keep seeing public service anouncements about speed and safety belts lately though.
