Thanks! I used to pride myself on getting rid of a lot of 'junk' each year I was abroad, but I decided that certain items would be permanent reminders of those times. I think our flat currently looks like a cross between the Khan al Khalili and the Sharjah Souks, but my husband tells me it's not that bad.
When I do eventually settle down, my home will be a bit of a mish-mash of things from different countries and cultures. I will probably have to designate them to different rooms. There are certain things that I have picked up in different countries that I just don't want to part with.

I remember looking at lanterns like that when I was in Egypt. I loved them, but for some reason didn't end up buying any. Next time.
